Toshiba Regza 32RV635DB 32-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD TV with Freeview

Toshiba Regza 32RV635DB 32-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD TV with Freeview Review

The TV arrived ahead of the original delivery dates given by Amazon, This replaced an older 32" Toshiba LCD that after 6 years had developed picture problems. it was well packaged and easy to get out of the box.

My first task was to attach the wall bracket that came off the previous model. No problems so far. I wanted to attach a scart lead from the Toshiba HDD/DVD/VCR player I have. Unfortunately the only scart sockets are on the back panel, none on the side. This caused me a problem as it proved impossible to centre the set on the wall bracket as the scart lead pushed the set away from the wall. Obviously this will depend on the size of your wall bracket , but you should be aware. I got round this by pushing the TV to the right when sitting on the bracket. Considering I had no problem with the previous Toshiba was somewhat surprising. It just means I can see a bit of the bracket to the left hand side. Solution I guess is to buy a smaller bracket.

The picture when using the PS3 in HD is brilliant.

Setting the TV up was as easy as expected with modern units. Picture quality excellent, sound the same in my opinion.

Overall an excellent TV for the price.

Excellent value! - Z. Hopkins - Birmingham, UK
This TV is really good value - a very clear picture, no glare from the screen, and good sound for a smallish room. This was far easier to set up than my previous TV and the menus are very intuitive - I also managed all the set up alone, but it would have helped to have another person on hand just to get it out of the box!. Not having Sky or BluRay I haven't tried out the full HD experience, but with a decent upscaling DVD player, movies are far sharper and clearer than on my old CRT TV. Fast delivery - 2 days from order to arriving today (and after two previous complaints about missed deliveries Citylink got their act in gear for this one!) I would definitely recommend this product for price, quality and ease of use.

Great TV with loads of inputs! - M. Hashim - London, UK
When I unpacked the TV, it came 'Flat packed' with two parts of the stand not attached to the TV. In the box, you have all of the screws for the stand, an allen key to tighten those screws, a few manuals including excellent instructions to affix the stand, and the remote (they were even nice enough to give you batteries in it). Once you affix the stand and turn on the TV, there is a wizard to go through that automatically tunes in the inbuilt FreeView tuner and sets up the TV. The Toshiba logo on the bezel is backlit, but if you don't like it you can turn it off in the settings of the TV.

Connected to the TV I currently have an upscaling DVD player, a Sky+HD Box, a PS3, and a VHS. They all connect perfectly with many ports to spare. I even connected my PC using the usual VGA and it looked great watching YouTube 1080p trailers. The speakers are relatively loud, but I connected some Logitech 5.1 speakers and they work great and give a bit more bass.

Overall, this TV is excellent with many great features and a lot of inputs.

Toshiba triumph - Peter Habermann - Livingston, Scotland
After a lot of research this is what we finally agreed on and are more than delighted with the result. Toshiba is usually tops.
